ARRL JANUARY VHF Sweepstakes Contest: Jan 21-23, 2006: The contest begins 10:00 am ADT Saturday and ends 7:00 pm Sunday. Operate all bands 50-MHz and higher. For details go to the ARRL contest webpage: January VHF Sweepstakes. Here are some details on station's plans for the contest: Most stations will begin on 144.200-USB or 146.55-FM and move to other bands from there. If 6m opens for DX then it is likely stations will concentrate on 50.110-50.125 USB or 50.300 FM and move to other bands when 6m band closes (several stations in the Pacific NW indicate they will be looking for AK during the contest). 70cm operation will be on 432.100 USB or 446.000 FM.
