DEMI L144/28HP-DRX Transverter

New 144/28 MHz transverter with dual-receiver converters that are locked to the same LO (xtal local oscillator).
This is a proto-type unit custom made for KL7UW and being alpha-tested for DEMI. This their new VHF transverter
model with the addition of a second preamp-mixer for providing two separate receive channels locked in frequency.
The new design VHF transverter was placed into production in summer of 2010.

I ordered the 50w model so I could directly drive my 2m-8877 amplifier without need for a intermediate amp.
to boost drive. I have been using 50w drive from my FT-847 to produce 1436w CW output. The new transverter
produces 50w in linear mode for SSB so can be driven harder up to perhaps 60w for CW.

The unit is housed in a custom-made enclosure since the standard enclosure did not have room for the six
coaxial connectors: TXIF, RXIF-1, RXIF-2 all BNC female, and TXRF, RX1, and RX2 all N-female. In addition,
are the power, PTT, ACC, and space for a future ext. reference connector. Click on photos to enlargen:
