About 2009 I modified my MFJ-269B to operate on 450-950 KHz which covers the 472-478 KHz
  Ham band.  This simply done by cutting a trace betwen the lowest frequency oscillator coil
  and the band sector switch contact to add additional inductance.  A mini-toggle switch was
  placed across the new coil to short it out to restore origianl 1.8-4.0 MHz range.
